Common Questions

Is personal training safe during pregnancy?

Yes - when it’s properly adapted, personal training during pregnancy is not only safe but highly beneficial. Sessions are tailored to your trimester, energy levels, and any medical considerations. The focus is on gentle strength, mobility, breathing, and functional movement to support your changing body, reduce discomfort, and prepare for birth.
I always recommend that clients have clearance from their healthcare provider before starting or continuing exercise during pregnancy.

Can I start postpartum training even if I haven’t exercised before?

Absolutely. You do not need prior fitness experience to start postpartum training. In fact, many clients begin their fitness journey after giving birth. Training starts very gently, focusing on rebuilding deep core and pelvic floor strength, improving posture, and restoring confidence in your body. Everything progresses at your pace, based on how you’re feeling physically and emotionally.

How soon after giving birth can I start?

This depends on your birth experience and how your body is recovering. Gentle movement, breathing exercises, and light mobility work can often begin in the early postpartum weeks. More structured training typically starts after your postnatal check-up and medical clearance (often around 6–8 weeks postpartum). Your recovery always comes first, and sessions are adapted to where you are - not where you “should” be.

Is this suitable after a C-section or pelvic floor issues?

Yes. Training can be safely adapted after a C-section or when dealing with pelvic floor concerns, such as weakness, heaviness, or diastasis recti. Sessions focus on breath work, deep core activation, gentle strengthening, and gradual progression. Exercises are carefully selected to support healing rather than stress the body. If needed, I can also work alongside recommendations from your pelvic floor physiotherapist or healthcare provider.

Do you offer online or in-person sessions?

Sessions are available both online and in person. Online sessions allow you to train from the comfort of your home, which many pregnant and postpartum clients find especially convenient. In-person sessions are available in a small cozy women's only studio in Prenzlauer Berg. During the free intro session, we’ll discuss which option works best for you and your lifestyle.

What does the free intro session include?

The free intro session is a relaxed, no-pressure conversation designed to get to know you and your needs. We’ll talk about your pregnancy or postpartum stage, any concerns or injuries, your goals, and what kind of support would feel best for you. You’ll also have time to ask questions and learn how training would be tailored to your body. There’s no obligation to continue afterward.

How long is a typical session?

A typical training session lasts around 60 minutes, depending on your program and energy levels. Sessions are structured to be effective without being overwhelming, and breaks are always built in when needed - especially during pregnancy and early postpartum recovery.

What if I feel too tired or overwhelmed?

That’s completely okay - and let's be honest, very common.  Each training session is always adapted to how you’re feeling on the day. Some sessions are gentle and restorative, focusing on breathing, mobility, and nervous-system regulation rather than high intensity. The goal is to support your energy, not drain it. Listening to your body is part of the process, not a setback.

What if I miss a session?

Life with pregnancy, a newborn, or young children can be unpredictable, I get that. Due to having to rent the training space though I have a 24 hour cancellation policy. If you should miss one or have a break, we simply adjust you training plan if needed and continue when you’re able to. There’s no guilt, pressure or “falling behind” - consistency is built with flexibility and kindness toward yourself.

Is this only for “fit” moms?

Not at all. This is for real bodies and real life, not a certain fitness level or body type. Many clients start feeling weak, disconnected from their bodies, or unsure where to begin — and that’s exactly who this support is for. I meet you where you are and your training grows with you over time.

Can nutritional consultations help with postpartum recovery and energy levels?

Absolutely. Postpartum nutrition plays a key role in healing, hormone balance, and managing fatigue. Consultations focus on nourishing your body, supporting recovery, and helping you feel more stable and energised during a demanding phase of life.

Is this suitable if I have dietary restrictions or preferences?

Yes. Nutritional guidance is fully personalised and can accommodate dietary preferences or restrictions such as vegetarian, vegan, food sensitivities, or cultural food choices. The goal is to support your health while respecting what works for you.

Will this help with weight changes after pregnancy?

The primary focus is health, nourishment, and well-being - not rapid weight loss. As your body becomes more supported and balanced, changes in weight may happen naturally. The approach is gentle and respectful and also focused on long-term health rather than quick fixes.

If you’re unsure what’s right for your body, the free intro session is a safe space to ask questions and discuss your individual situation.
